PIAA and Chapter Meeting Requirements
PIAA Requirements
PIAA Rules and Regulations require every registered official to attend a yearly Mandatory Interpretation meeting in the sport(s) in which they are registered to officiate to be eligible to officiate.** The PIAA Mandatory Interpretation Meeting for the York Chapter PIAA Basketball Officials will be held as listed in our Meeting Dates. If you are unable to attend the Mandatory Meeting conducted by the York Chapter, please check the PIAA website for alternatives.
PIAA Regulations also require each active official to attend a minimum of six (6) meetings, plus the Mandatory Meeting, in the sport they are registered. Failure to comply will result in suspension.
Chapter Requirements
To remain in good standing, and to qualify for post-season playoffs conducted by the YAIAA, the York Chapter requires that its members attend a minimum of four (4) meetings conducted by the York Chapter, no more than three (3) of which may be prior to the current basketball season. (Please see ARTICLE V - MEETINGS of the Bylaws of the York Chapter PIAA Basketball Officials for more information.)NOTE ON ATTENDANCE The attendance shown is based upon the attendance records maintained by the York Chapter. If you attended meetings elsewhere but did not notify the Chapter Secretary, your PIAA attendance may not be shown correctly in our records. Not sure if you're in compliance?
